Join us for a Sunday Stroll on 8 August (2pm) when we will explore 'Designing the Social 'with detour guide Bas van der Kruk. Based on his perspective as a performer, writer, artist, and creative advisor, Bas's guided detours usually focus on text and movement.
8 August 2021 14:00 - 15:00
_Designing the Social_ is an exhibition exploring 100 years of new and different forms of living together in the Netherlands. Designers, researchers and curators have chosen and (re)interpreted pieces from heritage collections and archives in order to tell a variety stories about a century of social design. The question is always the same: how has design contributed to new worldviews, new forms of living, working and communication, and to a society in which we all have the means to shape our own ideas about the social?
"I like to mix different forms of artistic expression to make people look at the world in a slightly different way."
Bas is a performer, writer, artist and creative advisor. He graduated from dance academy in London, and has a Master's degree in applied ethics. His favourite things are doing rolls across the floor and the colours of Miami.
