Lithium is an exhibition that dives deeper into the element that is not only a source of energy for society, but also for ourselves. Conceived as a spa resort (revitalising Lithium spas were all the rage in the 19th century), it highlights the beneficial and destructive elements of the eternal human search for energy. Researchers, designers and artists offer their perspectives on an urgent question: how often can we recharge our batteries without addressing the causes of depletion, in both ourselves and the planet?

“If you’re enthusiastic, familiar with a subject and good at communicating it, then you’re a good detour guide.”
