Sunday Stroll with Asha
On 10 January, detour guide Asha Capella takes us through Lithium. This exhibition, imagined as a spa retreat, invites visitors to experience the states of exhaustion and revitalisation that characterise today's 24/7 economy. During this latest Sunday Stroll, Asha will focus on our own batteries: what recharges us, and what drains us?
10 January 2021 14:00 - 15:00
Lithium is an exhibition that dives deeper into the element that is not only a source of energy for society, but also for ourselves. Conceived as a spa resort (revitalising lithium spas were all the rage in the 19th century), it highlights the beneficial and destructive elements of the eternal human search for energy. Researchers, designers and artists offer their perspectives on an urgent question: how often can we recharge our batteries without addressing the causes of depletion, in both ourselves and the planet?
Asha is an all-rounder who loves to learn and do new things. As a chef, her passion is cooking. Her favourite things are food, people dancing offbeat and her family.
"If you're enthusiastic, familiar with a subject and good at communicating it, then you're a good detour guide."
